iLive iC308B Dual Alarm Projection Clock Radio with Dock iPod Speakers

I loved that this product had projection, dual alarm and docking station. I wanted it all. Unfortunately after many days of reading directions and resetting, the device has failed. My first complaint is the dimmer does no good in the standby mode (which is where it is at night time). The light is so bright on the display and you can see everything in my entire room. I had to move the clock just so I couldn't see the blue through my eye lids. Then when you set the alarm there is no option to have the radio come on at a set level and stay at that level. By the time I hop out of bed and dash to the alarm the entire house is awake for the increasing volume. I also have to reset the volume on the radio everytime I turn the radio on for listening. The preset is level 22 which is very loud. Many times the radio wil just increase in volume on it's own at random times. The projection is great as long as the clock in not on a night stand next to you. The projection only displays right above the device or behind the device. I also liked the fact that this device supported older ipods but it doesn't help if the volume is always messing up. After many resets I am having to return this item. I am so disappointed.

I got this for Christmas and I really like it. It has great sound quality for being a clock radio (I should know, I'm a musician and sound technician). I really like the design and the projection clock is very nice. It's large and I can read it without my glasses at night. The only reason I gave design a 4 is because you can only manuever the projector to be above the clock or behind it, not at any other angles. One thing I don't like about it is the price. $100 seems too much when there are tons of things like this that do the same thing. You can definitely find something similar for cheaper.



One problem I have is I can't figure out how to adjust the volume of the alarm when I wake to iPod. The volume was perfect the first time I used it. But every time since then, it has been very quiet and I can't figure out how to adjust it. The directions don't say how. Can anybody help me?

I really like that the unit works well with the iPhone. Other radios get such interference wihen the phone searches for a cell tower but this one does not except on AM radio.



My biggest unhappy is that the display is SOOOOOO bright. IF you need a night light its great, but if you like it dark to sleep good luck. There is a dimmer switch, but I see little difference.



The sleep function is hard to figure out, the radio or sound has to be on first before the sleep button works.

If you had read the directions and reset the unit it probably would have worked. It specifies in the instructions that you will have to do that. Until I reset mine I had the same problem you did. I'm sorry you did not figure that out because it is a great product!

I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. I bought this for my teenaged son and three days later it didn't work. I took it back to the store for an exchange for the same product and when we got it home and plugged it in...NOTHING! There were no numbers on the display, no sound, nothing.The back light was on and that was it. This Ipod dock had all the features we were looking for. How frustrating!
