Overview

Overview Looking for a portable bluetooth wireless speaker? The Z515 is a great way to go, it sounds great, easy to use and very well constructed. The Logitech designers have paid extra attention to all of the details and created a great system.

Review

The Logitech Z515 is built for convenience, and portability using wireless bluetooth connectivity. It is one of the first to include a USB wireless adapter, Bluetooth connectivity, and auxiliary input. The sound is rich and clear while the size to a minimum.

Design:
Wonderful sleek design. Right out of the box it seems solid and has nice weight and texture. Great for traveling or taking with you wherever.

On the back the is a compartment that holds the wireless USB adapter, for using the speaekers with your computer. If you have an bluetooth enable iPod or iPhone then ther is no need for the adapter.

The cover for the USB adapter doubles as a stand to keep the speakers standing upright.

Functionality:
The Z515 works with any Bluetooth ready device and allows you to stream the music to the system with very little hassle. The Wireless USB adapter is similarly easy. Essential controls are easy to use.

Sound:
Maybe not your best set of computer speakers or premium home speakers, but the Z515 sounds very good for its size. There is a chance you will run into some radio interferrence when using the USB adapter, but you can always hook up an auxiliary cable and run smoothly that way.

Value:
The price is higher than other similar sized systems. The Z515 is still a great value considering the bluetooth connenctivity and excellent attention to detail. It is a great system that is worth the investment.

Final Thought
The Z515 is a first rate speaker system and is one of the few models that offer bluetooth connectivity. The price is higher than other personal or ultraportable systems but the excellent sound and attention to detail justifies the cost.
