Bose SoundDock Portable Description:

The Bose SoundDock Portable was released after the popular Bose SoundDock.  The SoundDock portable is similar to the original with the addition of being powered by a rechargeable battery and iPhone compatible.

Just like the original SoundDock and other Bose products the SoundDock portable has high quality premium sound.

The SoundDock was released in the later part of 2004 with a price tag of $399.

Bose SoundDock Portable Overview:

The Bose SoundDock has become an international hit. It offers a simplified and visually neutral all-in-one sound solution. The quality of digital music produced by this system is unmatched with that of any other battery operated speaker.

There is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery in the device, which is able to provide longer battery life and more power than any other rechargeable battery. The rotating dock can be folded away if you are going to store the system or carry it along during your travel. The molded handle is also there so that it can be carried away easily from one place to the other.

Almost all the iPhone and iPod models that feature click wheel can be docked with the system, including nano, mini, video and photo models, and also iPod Touch. The iPod can be charged as it is playing music, which means that you won't need to switch off the device or unplug to recharge it. The basic iPod functionalities and system pedals are easily controlled by a custom made remote, including playing navigation.

The auxiliary input present on the system allows you to play other audio devices including portable DVD, MP3 and CD players.

Review

Bose makes great premium speaker systems for the home and office areas and they are now making portable speakers as well. The main benefit for buying a Bose speaker system is the sound quality, but they make a very well rounded speaker system and it works well in about every aspect.

Sound:
Bose is a standard in sound for speakers. The SoundDock Portable plays all your audio well and loudly. It doesn’t disappoint.

Design:
The Bose SoundDock Portable is a nicely compact unit with handle and remote control. It looks great with a modern, sleek design. It’s easy to take with you. The dock can be retracted into the system itself and the remote control make the iPod/iPhone navigation music pretty easy.

Functionality:
The SoundDock Portable does everything you need it to for a portable system. Volume controls on the side and iPod/iPhone menu navigation on the remote.

Summary:
The Bose SoundDock Portable is all about high quality sound in a portable light-weight design. It accomplishes it’s goal and performs excellently. This a recommended system.

Review

I really enjoy my SoundDock Portable, the sound is great and very easy to take around the house or to the office. It was a little bit an expensive but I am glad I made the investment. I also own the quiet comfort 2 headphones. Same thing they were more expensive than the other options but I am glad I made the purchase.

It is a Bose product so the sound quality and construction is excellent. Plus the rechargable battery means not having to remember batteries or purchase them.

If have the money you will be glad you purchased this unit for years to come.
