Review

The iP9 from iHome is one of the best iPod / iPhone Alarm Clocks. Very easy to use, good looks, and excellent sound.

For those not familiar with iHome they are one of the leaders in the iPod Speaker area. Their products are very well designed and constructed. The sound is clear and rich and the interfaces are easy to use.

Operation
The iP9 is primarily operated by using two large dials on the top of the system. These dials are easy to find and spin in the middle of the night. Being able to operate an alarm clock very easily is a huge plus.

Alarm
One of the really strong aspects of the iP9 is the 7-5-2 alarm setting. This setting allows you to set an alarm for all seven days of the week, the five weekdays or the two weekend days. 7-5-2. No more being woke up early on a Saturday because you forgot to turn off the alarm.

Display
The display is had large easy to read numbers. I like this because I can see the time from anywhere in the room.

The display brightness is has 5 levels and is easily adjusted. I will typically keep the display bright during the day but then at night I will lower the light level. This is done by tapping the large dimmer/snooze button on top of the unit.

Sound
The sound is clear and full. A very nice sound for a smaller system. The iP9 does not have the same quality as a bose system or other $300 system but it is very good for its size. If you are looking for a higher quality iPod alarm clock check out the iP99 from iHome

Conclusion
If your are looking for a full featured easy to use iPhone / iPod Alarm Clock the iP9 is one that you should consider. I have tried many of the iPod Alarm Clocks and the iP9 is the one that I use at my house.

Review

Good, safe buy. I've only had my iHome for a short time, but the sound quality and performance is so far superb. Still getting the knack of the remote, but it works well and basic functions are simple. Remote has a wide range but uses a CR2032 3-V lithium battery. Has a clean design. Has awesome sleep function, with different volume than alarm. Only 6 radio presets. 1-yr limited warranty comes with the iHome, as well as stellar Apple customer service! Awesome purchase, although a little pricey for these times.
